Annual Theatre Arts Fest to Take Place on December 11th
justCommunity, Inc., is hosting the 2nd Annual Performing Arts Festival on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011 at 3:30 and 7 pm at the James Lorah House, 132 N. Main Street, Doylestown. In the spirit of promoting positive youth development, justCommunity has chosen the theme of this year’s festival as “What’s on Your Mind?”
Local Parent Chat Nights Open the Floor for a Positive Parenting Exchange
The Parent Chats initiative is growing in Upper Bucks County! In the past two months two more successful Parent Chats have taken place. Both were held in the Palisades community and were moderated by UBHCHY Coalition Parent Educator, Judi Pason.

Submissions for the 2011 Theatre Arts Festival are currently taking place and will be accepted until November 4, 2011.

Since the UBHCHY Coalition began collecting data in 2002 on the level of Developmental Assets in Upper Bucks youth, one of the least reported asset categories has been “Creative Activities.” If the The Upper Bucks Alliance for Creative Expression (UBACE) has anything to do with it, this level will change in the next decade.
‘Digital drugs’ can send youth down a dangerous path
As digital drugs, also known as “i-dosing,” has popped up in some parts of the nation, drug experts and school officials are warning parents to beware. Last year, students at Mustang High School, OK, who appeared to be high were sent to the principal’s office, where they claimed they’d tried something called “i-dosers.”
UBHCHY Coalition Supports 'Parents Who Host Lose the Most' Campaign
For the third year, the Upper Bucks Healthy Communities Healthy Youth Coalition is sponsoring the Parents Who Host Lose the Most campaign in Upper Bucks County. During the month of June 2010, letters were mailed to parents of high school students from Palisades, Pennridge and Quakertown high schools informing them about the campaign.
