The Indian Valley Character Counts! Coalition’s First Student Support Card survey results were revealed to an audience over over 100 attendees on October 19, 2010. Indian Valley was mentored by Upper Bucks Healthy Community Healthy Youth (UBHCHY) Coalition, and used funding from a recent grant from the federal Drug Free Communities Support Programs of $150,000.
‘Digital drugs’ can send youth down a dangerous path
As digital drugs, also known as “i-dosing,” has popped up in some parts of the nation, drug experts and school officials are warning parents to beware. Last year, students at Mustang High School, OK, who appeared to be high were sent to the principal’s office, where they claimed they’d tried something called “i-dosers.”

Over 150 community service leaders, non-profit organizations, and local governmental leaders attended the Foundations Community Partnership (www.fcpartnership.org) “Partnership in Youth Services” luncheon ceremony held at the Doylestown Country Club in Doylestown yesterday.
Results of the First Annual Drug Take Back
The first ever nationwide Prescription Drug Take Back event was held on Saturday, September 25, 2010. Multiple locations throughout Upper Bucks County were manned by police officers, members of the Drug Enforcement Administration, board members, staff and volunteers of Upper Bucks Healthy Communities Healthy Youth Coalition. Thousands of pounds of unused, unwanted prescription drugs were turned in to secure deposit centers provided by the DEA to help curb the prescription drug misuse and abuse problem with teens and young adults in the local area.

UBHCHY Coalition Supports 'Parents Who Host Lose the Most' Campaign
For the third year, the Upper Bucks Healthy Communities Healthy Youth Coalition is sponsoring the Parents Who Host Lose the Most campaign in Upper Bucks County. During the month of June 2010, letters were mailed to parents of high school students from Palisades, Pennridge and Quakertown high schools informing them about the campaign.
